Intrado is looking to hire a Benefits Analyst to join our Human Resources team. 

The Benefits Analyst is responsible for administering and analyzing employee benefits programs in the United States and Canada, including health insurance, retirement plans, wellness programs, and other ancillary benefits. This role involves evaluating the effectiveness of current benefit plans, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations, and providing recommendations for improvements. The Benefits Analyst will work closely with employees to address their benefits-related queries and concerns, ensuring a high level of satisfaction and understanding of the benefits provided. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Benefits Administration: 
    • Administer employee benefits programs, including health, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance plans, retirement plans, and wellness initiatives
    • Manage benefits enrollment and changes, ensuring timely and accurate processing of documentation
    • Work closely with Payroll team to update plan rates, deferral changes, and other benefit-related payroll information 
    • Coordinate with external benefits providers and brokers to resolve issues and enhance plan offerings
    • Co-manage Leaves of Absence in Canada and US
    • Participate in benefits related projects and initiatives
  • Employee Support: 
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for employees regarding benefits related inquiries and issues
    • Provide guidance and support during open enrollment periods, new hire orientations, and benefits changes
    • Develop and deliver benefits communication materials
  • Compliance & Documentation: 
    • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, and ACA
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date benefits records and documentation
    • Prepare and file required compliance reports and documentation
  • Strategic Planning: 
    • Assist in the design and implementation of new benefit programs and policies
    • Conduct benchmarking studies to compare benefits offerings with industry standards
    • Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in benefits administration
    • Collaborate with HR leadership to develop and execute benefits strategies aligned with organizational goals

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
  • Equivalent work experience in a similar position may be substituted for educational requirements

Experience:

  • 3+ years of experience in benefits administration or a related role
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience working with various HRIS and benefits administration software (Microsoft Dynamics 365, Oracle, ADP Workforce Now, Benefits Solver, etc.)
  • Detailed knowledge of employee benefits regulations and compliance requirements in both US & Canada
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Basic knowledge of Word and Excel required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
  • Equivalent work experience in a similar position may be substituted for educational requirements
  • Bilingual in French and English preferred

The starting salary for this position is between $78,000 and $85,000 a year and will be commensurate with experience.
