Our Life & Safety  team is currently adding  a Technical Project Manager to help support several exciting project initiatives!   We are looking for someone who is a self-starter, eager to learn new tools and product and who is flexible and has ability to work within an environment that is fast paced and can change quickly.

The  Technical Project Manager will be responsible for managing and participating in projects to accomplish identified information technology initiatives. You will be tasked with providing project leadership and direction on assigned projects, focusing on  technical aspects.


  • Provide project leadership and direction on assigned projects, focusing on technical aspects
  • Ensure overall progress of assigned projects from initiation to implementation
  • Review with, and provide recommendations to management on all project aspects to ensure buy-in
  • Continually build internal relationships with departments or business segments to facilitate cooperation and project completion
  • Determine skill set necessary and work with management to build the project team based on project scope and expectations
  • Keep up-to-date with assigned business segment products and services
  • Work with appropriate staff to develop timelines and project plans obtaining necessary approvals
  • Assist with maintaining established standards and approaches for each project (e.g. status reporting, issue management, change control, etc.) and communicating to team members and stakeholders
  • Provide management with status reports detailing status and timelines throughout assigned project
  • Evaluate and thoroughly document requirements with project team, which includes maintaining the project traceability matrix, evaluating all project aspects, (e.g., staff, costs, benefits, timelines, etc.), and updating project plan and project documentation throughout the project lifecycle
  • Identify project risks and develop contingency plans for those risks
  • Responsible for the creation and maintenance of all project management deliverables throughout the project lifecycle
  • Create and maintain project files that are well documented, efficiently organized, and adhere to departmental policies and procedures for each phase of the project
  • Continuously monitor tasks and project assignments in progress, ensuring project schedule is being met and schedule changes are addressed and communicated by established deadlines
  • Communicate any schedule changes to affected parties while continually performing risk assessment
  • Ensure project is ready for implementation and conduct a post-project review to ensure all aspects of project have been thoroughly documented and completed
  • Manage vendor activities, including participating in vendor planning sessions to ensure that vendors comply with specifications
  • May oversee the transition of the project from development to production support


Applicant for this job will be expected to meet the following minimum qualifications.


  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in business administration, computer science, MIS, or a related field is required. Masters level degree may be preferred depending on departmental need. Equivalent work experience in a similar position may be substituted for educational requirements


  • Minimum three years increasingly responsible project management experience required, with an emphasis on technical capabilities preferred
  • Minimum one year experience in an Information Technology role (e.g., operations, development, support, etc.) preferred
  • Telecommunications experience preferred


  • Intermediate knowledge of SharePoint preferred
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred
  • Intermediate knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) may be required based on departmental need
  • Intermediate knowledge of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Project required

For candidates located in Colorado, the hiring range for this position is anticipated between $60,000-$70,000 per year and will be commensurate with experience.
