Intrado’s Life & Safety division is responsible for some critical parts of our everyday life. Our solutions are responsible for everything that happens after a 9-1-1 call is placed – call routing, delivery, location determination and data management. Whether you call from a landline, cell phone or text 9-1-1, we make sure first responders get the right information at the right time so they can save lives.

As a DevOps Engineer, your principal tasks will be:

  • Provide technological knowledge and participate in group decision-making on technology related topics
  • Assist in evaluating new requirements and work closely with development team to assess the needs and ensure the solution and platform are designed to be optimum
  • Build and manage the various development and testing environments required by the team
  • Create and maintain internal documentation on properly deploying and managing our solutions and platforms
  • Work closely with developers and other team to help monitor and remediate infrastructure performance and security issues
  • Develop and maintain continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines to help automate infrastructure and application deployment, testing, management, configuration, scale, and monitoring, in Lab, data centers and cloud environments
  • Use DevOps principles to influence and create new architecture standards and best-practices
  • Stay constantly aware of new trends and technologies Research new DevOps tools and techniques as appropriate, staying current with industry best practices


University degree from an accredited institution with major course work in computer science. 

Equivalent work experience in a similar position may be substituted for educational requirements.


Minimum Four years' experience in a similar position


  • Experience with JIRA, Confluence, GitHub, SCM & Agile process
  • Experience with automations, scripting, CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins
  • Experience with operating systems (Linux/Windows) deployed on bare-metal or virtual machines
  • Experience with Cloud infrastructures (Azure, AWS, and IBM).
  • Experience with Ansible, Axway, Kubernetes & Docker
  • Experience with programming languages – Python, Java/JavaScript, Bash an asset
  • Experience with monitoring tools such as NewRelic an asset
