Essential Duties: 

  • Manage the day-to-day Telecom and Carrier Management activities of assigned staff for all Telecom products, including but not limited Toll Free SOMOS database routing and GLCR Global Least Cost Routing with rate, quality, and cost control.
  • Serve in an ongoing partnership with end users, providing consultative advice and maintaining an in-depth knowledge of business operations
  • Monitor the activities associated with Telecom network routing, capacity management, carrier relations, contracts, and cost management.
  • Organize cross-training efforts of staff members to ensure there is adequate support of Telecom products developed
  • Participate in researching new products and development tools, keeping up-to-date on industry trends for incorporation into the Company's platform
  • Lead and participate in support activities, which includes providing a single point of contact for end users and determining if the service request is within the department scope
  • Ensure that high levels of end user satisfaction are provided supporting the Telecom network.
  • Serve as point of escalation for Network routing issues that arise and complete related follow-up activities
  • Coach, develop, and mentor subordinates to achieve quality performance while continuing to develop personal management skill necessary to handle unique management challenges

Minimum Qualifications: 

Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university required with major course work in computer science, MIS, electrical engineering, business, or a related field is required. Equivalent work experience in a similar position may be substituted for education requirements.

Experience:

  • Toll Free Routing experience with SOMOS database
  • LCR Least Cost Routing experience, Domestic and International
  • Telecom CLEC Competitive Local Exchange experience
  • Knowledge of the LERG Local Exchange Routing Guide
  • Knowledge of the NANP North American Numbering Plan
  • Familiar with originating and terminating call flows:
    • Toll Free Routing,
    • DID Direct Inward Dial (Domestic)
    • DVT Domestic Voice Termination
    • International- Toll Free and Toll and IDD International Direct Dial Call Routing.

Typical candidate will have 6+ years of experience in MIS engineering or computer science, including leadership or supervisory experience. 6+ Years in Telecom related field with experience with call flows and network routing.
